Umpire Experience -- 13 Years
JUA Member -- 9 Years
I started umpiring in Northern Virginia (DC suburbs), at first as a father replacement umpire when the paid umpires didn't show for my daughters' games then finally one season when they wanted to sit it out I decided that I wanted to remain connected with softball by becoming a real umpire. Up in VA, I only worked fastpitch ball. For the first year only rec league then started working HS ball. I also began working fastpitch tournaments, ASA, Pony, NSA. In 2009, I retired and moved to Jacksonville and joined JUA. While I still only work softball, I did start doing slowpitch as well. For JUA, I work rec league ball (both FP and SP) and school ball, being on playoff crews for districts and for regionals. I also work several travel team tournaments and college showcases all around FL for the various alphabet soup of softball organizations, USA, USSSA, D9, PGF, USFA.
